How to Schedule a Meeting

Schedule a Meeting via Phone Call:

  1.  Call (515)-294-7220 and ask to schedule a meeting (meeting types described below)!

Schedule a Meeting on Navigate:

  1. Click “Appointments” and then “Schedule an Appointment”.
  2. Select "Student Accessibility" for the Care Unit.
  3. Select a meeting type for the Service (meeting types described below).
  4. Select "Student Accessibility Services" for the Location.
  5. Then, choose from available days/times and schedule your appointment.

Meeting Types

Getting Started:

  • Intake Meeting: New to accommodations? This meeting is the first step in the accommodation request process and is required before accommodation decisions can be made.

Next Steps:

  • Accommodation Decision Follow-Up: Have questions about a recent accommodation decision or the accommodation request process? Schedule a follow-up meeting with a Specialist.
  • Assistive Technology Training/Pickup: Students approved for SAS-provided assistive technology can use this meeting to receive training, pick up equipment, or discuss technology-related questions.

Problem-Solving and Supports:

  • Accommodation Implementation Meeting: Experiencing barriers when using approved accommodations or have questions about implementation? This meeting focuses on accommodation implementation and resolving access-related concerns.
  • Supplemental Accommodations Request: Interested in requesting additional accommodations? This meeting provides an opportunity to discuss new accommodation requests, supporting documentation, and the accommodation review process.
  • Peer Mentor Supports and Meetings: Connect with a peer mentor who has experience using accommodations and can share strategies for navigating accommodation implementation processes, coursework, communication with instructors, and campus life.

Hixson-Lied Building Accessibility

Accessible entrances, equipped with automatic door openers, are located on both the north (first floor) and south (garden level) sides. Accessible parking spaces are located north of the building. An elevator is located in the middle of the building, connecting to all three levels.
