How to Schedule a Meeting

Schedule a Meeting via Phone Call:

  1.  Call (515)-294-7220 and ask to schedule a meeting (meeting types described below)!

Schedule a Meeting on Navigate:

  1. Click “Appointments” and then “Schedule an Appointment”.
  2. Select "Student Accessibility" for the Care Unit.
  3. Select a meeting type for the Service (meeting types described below).
  4. Select "Student Accessibility Services" for the Location.
  5. Then, choose from available days/times and schedule your appointment.

Getting Started:

  • Intake Meeting: New to accommodations? Start here! This meeting is the first step in setting up accommodations with SAS. 

Next Steps After Approval:

  • Accommodation Implementation Meeting: Already approved for academic accommodations? These meetings help you learn how to use your accommodations and get set up with any needed tools. 
  • Assistive Technology Training/Pickup: If approved for any assistive technology provided by SAS, you can schedule this meeting to learn how to use their technology or pick up a device if needed

Problem-Solving and Supports:

  • Accommodation Concerns and Follow-Up: Having trouble using your accommodations? These meetings are for problem-solving and getting the support you need. 
  • Supplemental Accommodations Request: Do you need to explore the potential for additional accommodations? These meetings are here to discuss what other options may be needed.
  • Peer Mentor Supports and Meetings: Connect with a peer mentor who understands the accommodation process and can help you navigate accommodations, classes, communication, and campus life. 

Hixson-Lied Building Accessibility

Accessible entrances, equipped with automatic door openers, are located on both the north (first floor) and south (garden level) sides. Accessible parking spaces are located north of the building. An elevator is located in the middle of the building, connecting to all three levels.
