What to Expect During Your First Meeting

Meeting Overview

Before Meeting
  • Collect copies of any documentation you currently have 
  • Review the accommodation guide  
  • Think of questions to ask your coordinator 
During Meeting
  • We will check in with you and review the information provided in your registration guide 
  • You will be given the opportunity to discuss your experiences and access needs 
  • If you have not provided documentation or are unsure of what types of documentation to provide, we will review our guidelines 
After Meeting
  • You will receive a follow-up email with everything discussed in the meeting including next steps, resources, and accommodations we discussed 
Meeting Intentions

The Purpose of This Meeting is to:

  • Provide a general overview of Student Accessibility Services 
  • Collect information about your experiences and needs 
  • Respond to your needs, questions, and/or concerns 
  • Inform you about other relevant campus resources 
Meeting Outcomes

After this meeting, you should know about / understand:

  • Services and support offered by Student Accessibility Services 
  • Accommodations available to support your access needs 
  • Documentation guidelines and the review process 
  • Next steps in being found eligible for services
