RegisterBlast: Our New Scheduling System
The Exam Accommodations Center (EAC) is excited to announce that we will be transitioning to a new system for scheduling exams: RegisterBlast. This change is aimed at bringing consistency between our center and the regular testing centers, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for all. The decision to adopt RegisterBlast was driven by valuable feedback from both faculty and students, who expressed the need for a more user-friendly program.
With RegisterBlast, scheduling exams will be more straightforward and intuitive, enhancing the overall testing experience. Instructors will continue to create separate referrals for accommodated students, but the process of duplicating these referrals and collecting completed exams will be much more streamlined. We are thrilled to launch this new system for the Fall 2024 semester and look forward to the positive impact it will have on our community.

Walk-In Canvas Option Available
Starting in the Fall of 2024, the Exam Accommodations Center (EAC) is introducing a new Canvas walk-in option for students similar to the other testing centers on campus. This option is available for those whose instructors have already referred their exam to the EAC. With this option, students will have the ability to take an exam without a pre-scheduled appointment.
Students can arrive on the day they wish to take the exam and register for a walk-in appointment. It is recommended students arrive early to ensure they have ample time to complete their exam before closing time. Walk-in options may be limited if we reach capacity. To avoid waiting or being turned away, please schedule your appointment in advance.
*Written exams must still be scheduled 24 hours ahead of time in order to allow for preparation by our staff

Enhancing Accessibility: EAC and CELT Testing Centers Collaborate to Provide Accommodations in Regular Testing Facilities
The EAC and CELT Testing Centers are pleased to announce a collaboration that will enhance the accessibility of exams. This partnership allows the new CELT Testing Centers to offer low-distraction environments and extended time accommodations for Canvas exams. The updated locations, including the brand-new Hixson-Lied Exam Center and the Carver 0060 Exam Center, are equipped to provide these accommodations. By integrating these resources into regular testing facilities, students who require additional support can now benefit from a more inclusive and supportive testing experience. This initiative underscores our commitment to ensuring all students have the resources they need to succeed academically.
